A MODEL BASED ENERGY MINIMIZATION METHOD FOR 3D FACE RECONSTRUCTION (FriPmPO1)

Abstract : We present a model based method for 3D face reconstruction by means of energy minimization algorithm. Depending on the kind of application several 3D face reconstruction algorithms are available: the choice depends on the precision needed, for example, in video coding, reconstruction algorithms with few parameters are favorites. With the method here described we obtain two 3D face representations: one Candide model based; the other, more accurate and detailed, constituted by a 3D clouds of points.
