Abstract : This paper presents an information-driven online video composition system. The system has several advantages: users are encouraged to assist video composition; available video cameras and a video switcher are managed based on both signal characteristics and users~{!/~} suggestions; the system can automate the video composition process based on compositions it experienced in the past. The problem formulation of online video composition approach is consistent with many well-known empirical approaches widely used in previous systems and may provide analytical explanations to these approaches. We demonstrate the use of this approach with field data.
