CONTEXT-AWARE SEMANTIC ADAPTATION OF MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATIONS (WedAmPO1)

Abstract : In this paper, we present our work on context-aware semantic adaptation of multimedia structured documents. We introduce the semantic annotation of a multimedia scene, providing semantic information on each media object of the scene, as well as on the dependencies between all the media objects. The proposed description tools are based on the framework of MPEG-21. We use these semantic annotations in order to perform a semantic adaptation on multimedia presentations. We aim to show that, in order to preserve the consistency and meaningfulness of the adapted multimedia scene, the adaptation process needs to have access to the semantic information of the presentation.
